'I'M A GOLD DIGGER!'

Swatting away mosquitoes and sifting through mud might sound like many people’s idea of hell. But for Jacqui Buzetti, this is heaven.

When she isn’t working as a beauty therapist and makeup artist on the Gold Coast, the 31-year-old is deep in the outback digging for gold.

Ever since she was a child, Jacqui’s had a passion for finding treasure. And this year, she’s taking that passion to another level, appearing in the hit TV series Aussie Gold Hunters.

Jacqui also hopes to encourage more women to get out into nature and become involved in the life-changing hobby.

“It’s such a great way to spend your free time and weekends out in nature,” Jacqui tells New Idea. “Prospecting has taken me to places I’d never have otherwise seen.”

Jacqui caught gold fever while out prospecting with her dad, Daniel, when she was as young as 7. Her family went on a road trip to the mining town of Nundle, NSW.
