The time has come for Prince Harry to face the music. With the Duke of Sussex back in London for the unveiling of a new Princess Diana statue, New Idea hears the ousted royal has also been summoned for a luncheon with his grandmother, the Queen, at Windsor Castle.
According to our royal insiders, the 95-year-old monarch wants her grandson to “look her in the eye” and explain the many attacks he and wife, Meghan Markle, have made on the royal family in recent months.
“The Queen has dropped her soft grandmotherly attitude, and wants answers from Harry,” explains the insider. “This time, it won’t be over Zoom with Meghan hovering in the background, or a brief text on the family WhatsApp group. This is the Queen’s chance to calmly get to the bottom of everything.”
In particular, the Queen wants to know why Harry, 36, told her his Apple TV+ mental health docuseries, The Me You Can’t See, was going to be about injured war vets, when instead it largely involved Harry complaining about his “out-of-touch” family.
She also doesn’t understand how Harry and Meghan, 39, could publicly damage everything she holds dear, and then turn around and use her personal nickname, ‘Lilibet,’ to name their newborn daughter.
