Cliff Curtis’ resume reads like one long box-office hit list. From roles in Avatar:  The Way of Water to Training Day and The Meg movies, he is one of New Zealand’s most prolific actors. Yet, despite being a contemporary of George Clooney and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Cliff has long rejected the notion of ‘celebrity’. 

“You see through the facade of it,” he says. In fact, Cliff doesn’t spend “very much time at all” being famous.

“I’m lucky. It’s worked out well for me,” he adds.
