Rumours that Kate and William are expecting a fourth child have been circulating for weeks. Now New Idea has learnt the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been given the green light to confirm their exciting news – that they’ll be welcoming a baby later this year!
A palace insider reveals Kate and William told the Queen and senior royals about the addition to their family a while ago, but due to recent events, the palace decided to hold back on a public confirmation.
“The immediate family has known about the pregnancy for some time, and while they were forced to postpone the announcement earlier this month amid Meghan and Harry’s bombshell, the Queen now feels this is the perfect time to share their happy news,” explains the source.
In keeping with royal tradition, it’s unlikely the baby’s gender will be officially announced until after the birth, but there are signs the Cambridge family could soon be welcoming another princess.
