He has donned many hats. Anil Kapoor the actor, the film producer, the casting director and the playback singer – let’s not forget his tryst with Hollywood. His four decade long career may have been chequered with hits and misses, but his indefatigable energy and ageless appearance has seen him reinvent himself every step of the way. In his latest venture, Kapoor treads the world of streaming with a series that explores the intricacies of human relationships entangled in a web of corruption and ambition. An adaptation of Aravind Adiga’s novel Selection Day, the series has a multitude of dramatic plots that unfold in a politically charged setting. The character-driven show brings together an ensemble of actors, including Ratna Pathak Shah (Love Per Square Foot), Rajesh Tailing (The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel) and Mahesh Majrekar (Slumdog Millionaire). We chatted with the actor about his new venture and what it means to chart out your own path.
