Inspiration from Nature
DESIGN MATRIX|September/October 2016

We take you to an admin extension, designed for purchase and commercial department of a renowned cement company in Beawar, Rajasthan. This space is designed by Ar. Ankur Shah and his lively team of Volume Architects, Jaipur; deriving inspiration from the honeycomb structure in its natural form.

Inspiration from Nature

Just like the family of bees live and work together, the client brief was to provide an office environment that unites the team members to work coherently and efficiently. Elaborating this idea, Ar. Ankur says, “We thought of an organic design philosophy to promote harmony between human habitation and the natural world. Designing an office with high - level corporate structure is a remarkable task, as it requires proper space planning, functionality, maintaining hierarchy and of course the beauty. Our design spells into one shape i.e. “Hexagon,” inspired from the honeycomb structure.”
