Running a marathon is on the bucket list for many people. For some, it could be a personal challenge; for others, a chance to socialize or create awareness for a cause; and for still others, an adrenaline rush.

But one cannot just get up and run a marathon. It may seem like a daunting task, but with proper planning, practice, and preparation, one can accomplish their goal of running the 42 km race.

Planning:

The key step to running a marathon race is planning. It involves everything from training schedule, meals, attire, playlist etc.

Planning a training schedule helps you gradually build up your mileage and endurance while incorporating enough rest to prevent injuries.

With the amount of energy you’d be putting in training, your body would need the right kind of meals that would refuel and replenish the loss and keep you energized.
