What does the show with Chef Ranveer Brar along with Greg Benson by Dewar’s Scotch hope to achieve? Anmol Gill: Dewar’s is a young and playful brand for today’s new age appreciators. Whisky is no longer just an old man’s drink and Dewar’s intends to position itself as the new age Scotch through drink experiences or the cultural properties we curate. The banter filled and playful format of ‘You Got Chef’d!’ not only fits our brand personality perfectly well, but also advocates the gourmet food and cocktail experience, which the brand intends to drive and own.

Season two of the show brings together food dishes popular in some of the new-gen occasions such as pool parties, jam sessions on the terrace, weekend brunches etc. Dewar’s is bringing Scotch whisky and highballs to the forefront by highlighting its versatility and double aged key messaging across different millennial drinking occasions. Through a careful curation of food and cocktail experiences with two experts from the scene, the brand reaches the new age audience through a digital platform.

What kind of Indian food preparations are best suited for Dewar’s range of Scotches?

Greg Benson: That’s a great question. The reason Dewar’s works so well with food is because of the fact that it is double aged liquid. We age the liquids, blend and age again. This has the result of making our Scotch exceptionally smooth, allowing the Scotch flavours to complement the flavours in the food.
