Love advice from our guy guru, Logan Hill.
My man’s persona on social media is way different than who he is IRL. Why do guys do that, and should I be concerned?
A_ Everyone fronts on social media, and I generally expect every dude I know to be twenty percent more obnoxious online than in person. Social media usually brings out a guy’s inner show-off (he’ll post #Swoll gym selfies), clown (he’ll retweet dumb jokes), or stud (he’ll update his profile pic just for the Likes). I wouldn’t sweat it—unless his posts bother you. As with locker room talk, “It was just a tweet” is never an excuse for being chauvinistic, racist, or an asshole, so call him out on it.
I’ve been with my BF for more than a year, but lately something is off. What are the signs guys give when they want out?A_ If he’s acting like you’re not even in the room or he’s treating you with disrespect when he does notice you, that’s a big problem and a major hint something has shifted. But the truest sign he’s about to end things? When you ask him if he’s unhappy and he says yes. Rather than hunt or sniff around for clues, bluntly ask him: “Hey, what’s going on?”
What’s something wild I can say to a dating-app match to get him to respond right away?

One summer 2009 night, Julia's manager pulled her aside. A silver-haired gentleman's date was being kind of loud and messy-Julia should intervene, be extra nice to him. She got the okay to take the man up to the roof for a quiet smoke. This guy must be a big deal, she thought.
