Entrepreneur Sairee Chahal helps women looking to re-enter the workforce land their dream jobs, and live the best life.
As a nation, we’re wired to pack in all our learning during the school and college phases. But there’s a new culture emerging around the world—the culture of investing in yourself— a journey that has no expiration date. It’s an attitude, a way of being, that needs to be consciously inculcated to bring out the most authentic version of you, at work and in life. I’ve met thousands of women over the years, and I realise that the ones living their dreams are the ones creating the space and time to invest in themselves. There’s no perfect formula to craft your dream life, but here are a few hacks to make it work.
Find your passion
Each of us have something we feel passionate about— it could be psychology, entrepreneurship, the environment, and much more. Identifying what you love helps you define the roadmap early on. I know a 26-year-old artist whose parents were nudging her towards a job and the coveted safety net. While she had doubts about her artistic abilities at first, she chased her dreams and turned her passion into a career in art and design. If you don’t know what you love, make the time to figure it out. Attend workshops and engage in activities that help you dig deeper within yourself.
