Shriya Pilgaonkar And Her Comfort Zone

Did you always want to be an actor?

Not really. I was into sports, and was a competitive swimmer as a child. I had quite a few ambitions. I wanted to be an astronaut and a detective, among many other things. But I also enjoyed performing, and I would participate in debates, elocutions, plays, and dances in school. I would also go to my parents’ (actors Supriya and Sachin Pilgaonkar) shoots and I distinctly remember being comfortable in that environment. I caught the acting bug, however, when I started learning Kathak; I trained in the dance form for about eight years.
