Prince George Born To Be King

Prince William knows how much of a burden it can be growing up knowing you’ll be the king of England one day, so the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did everything they could to help shield the truth from their eldest son. But with Prince George turning 8 on July 22, his parents are finally helping him prepare for his role as the future monarch.

William and wife Kate Middleton, both 39, revealed the truth to George about his royal destiny over the UK summer in 2020. “[William and Kate] went into more detail about what [George’s] life of royal “service and duty” would particularly involve [in the future],” revealed royal historian Robert Lacey.

While the pair shared the truth with George, who is third in line to the British throne behind his dad and grandfather, Prince Charles, 72, they tried to do so in a way that wouldn’t frighten him.

“William talks to George about what being a royal means,” a source told Us Weekly magazine. “He does so in a very simple manner because he doesn’t want his son to feel overwhelmed at such a young age,” the source added.
