Mr. Shah joined BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) in March 2011 and is the Head of Investments of BNPP AM India. He is responsible for managing the investment team and the performance of all onshore portfolios managed and offshore mandates sub-advised by the business. As Deputy CEO, he oversees the sales team along with his investment management responsibilities.

Over 17 years of extensive experience in asset management and handling diverse portfolios in dynamic markets makes Mr. Shah a sought after subject matter expert. His strong leadership and ability to inspire his teams have proved to be significant tools for portfolio growth and development across organisations.

Prior to joining BNPP AM, Mr. Shah was Head of Equities at Canara Robeco Asset Management where he oversaw the management of a number of high-performing equity funds including the 5-star rated Canara Robeco Equity Diversified – Growth, which won numerous local awards. Mr. Shah’s other senior roles in India included Co-Head of Equities at ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund (January 2007 – April 2008) and Vice-President for Investments at Kotak Mutual Fund (May 2000 to December 2006).

Mr. Shah is the recipient of ‘CIO of the Year’ award for the years 2014 and 2015 from Asia Asset Management. Academically, he holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and a B.E. degree from Regional Engineering College, Surat.
