What Sanjit Datta, director, operations, Zamil Steel Buildings India, likes most about pre-engineered buildings (PEB) is the speed of construction it of-fers. Of course, the company is also in the forefront of innovations. According to Datta, “There are several innovations coming up in PEB and we are looking out for such opportunities. What is interesting is the novelty it brings to the sector.”
For long, most PEBs had a length of 20m to 25m. But Zamil Steel as outdone itself with a building that is 86m clear span. “The advantage here is that such construction utilises the required land space while offering an uninterrupted view of the warehouse or factory,” says Datta.
