Dog Rough!
Volkswagen Camper and Commercial|Issue 152
Robin and Lucy Grosvenor were married in the spring of 2015. They hired a split screen camper to be their wedding car & honeymoon transport, and changed their lives.
DAVE RICHARDS
Dog Rough!
After touring North Wales in the split, we realized that we needed a bus, and spent much of our honeymoon searching e-bay for our own. After about three or four months, we found the stunning example you see on these pages, except it didn’t look quite like this... Originally a minibus, the vendor was planning to convert it to use for festival going, but never actually got round to it, and instead removed the two bench seats and used it to transport his dogs to shows. All of the interior panels were presumably removed at the same time. There was no headliner and the inside had been brush painted with household gloss, but it had an MOT!” And it was a good runner, apart from a seized and overheating front calliper.

Since we’ve owned it, we have been to numerous car shows with our car club Kahiko Kula and enjoy that immensely, but taking it camping is our joy.
