World's Fastest Widowmaker!
Fast Bikes India|November 2017

This frighteningly awesome contraption was once the world’s fastest motorcycle and aptly named Widowmaker 7. Created by E J Potter affectionately or aptly termed the ‘Michigan Madman’, this bike was, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the fastest motorcycle in the world in 1973.

Having started out as a dirt bike rider, Potter wanted to see how fast he could go using a V8 engine from a Yankee mobile. So he began experimenting and building drag bikes using a host of big block V8 engines most of which were awful to handle and dangerous to stay put on!
