George’s seven year hot rod build...

Wallace's Washington Blue B Model

There’s no doubt it is a big advantage when you have an accomplished rod building business in your area when you want to build another project car, but you are self-employed and time doesn’t always allow you to do it all yourself. That’s how it worked out for George Wallace when it came time to put together a Deuce three window coupe project. George joined Highway 66 Rodders in 2009 and had already completed his first hot rod, a ’27 Ford track T roadster and he also enjoys spending some time with his mates on their Harley motorcycles. Warren Burggraaff operates WazRods in Rockhampton so that’s where George went for the majority of the work on the coupe project.

The body is a C&W Components non-chopped repro item that has been fitted with a steel factory cowl vent in keeping with the style George wanted the coupe to reflect. He wanted the coupe to have clean but traditional lines, make it a little different to the rest and drive it to heaps of shows, but not to trailer it!
