When May arrives, it's as if the garden breathes a sigh of relief. The threat of frost is (mostly) over, and the garden fizzes with floral abundance. Ramp up the joy with a dazzling flowering shrub. There are plenty to choose from, but before deciding what you want, make sure the shrub's requirements (sun or shade, acid or alkaline soil, eventual size) match its proposed planting position.
