Sharon Stone has made the heartbreaking confession that she lost custody of her son in 2004 because of her racy role in Basic Instinct.

The 65-year-old actress claims a divorce judge asked her "tiny little boy", four-year-old Roan, "Do you know your mother makes sex movies?" during a family court battle with then-husband Phil Bronstein.

Sharon - who was granted visitation rights while her newspaper editor ex received primary custody - claims it was an "abuse by the system - that I was considered what kind of parent I was, because I made that movie"
