Many celebs adore holidaying in the UK. Here's where they go and why

Cornwall

Don’t be surprised if you spot the odd A-lister around one of Britain’s most beautiful counties. Chef Gordon Ramsay has owned various holiday homes here, and you might also see stars like singer Peter Andre, Loose Women presenter Nadia Sawalha or Strictly dancer AJ Pritchard on what’s known as the Cornish Riviera.

North Wales

Lush, green and rugged, this region’s natural beauty has appealed to holidaymakers for centuries, but it also hosted the UK-based I’m a Celebrity at Gwrych Castle near Abergele in Conwy. As a result, locals will have spotted stars such as Ant and Dec, Vernon Kay and David Ginola. But other celebs like it here, too, including Wayne and Coleen Rooney, who’ve taken their family to the beach resort of Abersoch, and The Walking Dead star Andrew Lincoln, who’s been spotted surfing in Snowdonia.
