Great expectations are what Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex had when they left their royal roles and forged a new life in California. Now Great Expectations - as in the classic novel by Charles Dickens - may be about to play a key role in securing their future.

As part of their $150 million deal with streaming giant Netflix, the couple are understood to be producing a TV prequel that will explore the life of character Miss Havisham before she became the lonely, jilted bride depicted in the book.
