Soft, smudgy and effortless, a picture-perfect pout is easy to nail.
Countless studies suggest we are hardwired to focus on lips, including recent research by psychologists at the University of Sydney, which found lip size is encoded by the brain as a distinct feature, separate from our overall facial structure. Interestingly, the study also found that female participants preferred digitally-altered images with fuller lips. It’s something make-up artists have noted too.
