LAST SUMMER, I did something I never thought possible: I sat in a sauna with my husband and two young children. We relaxed, told jokes, and discussed highlights of our road trip through Austria. We were at Naturhotel Forsthofgut (doubles from $299 per person, all-inclusive), in the mountains south of Salzburg, which opened a family-friendly addition to its spa in 2021: besides a sauna and steam bath, it now has waterslides and kids’ pools.
