Watching sports in the UK and Ireland can be an exciting and eventful experience! Here's what to watch, and where to pitch up
-
Britain is home to a huge number of competitions for numerous sports, with many of the events featured here being among the most prestigious, longest-running or most hotly contested in the world.
There really is something for every caravanner. We've highlighted events you have probably already heard of, but you might also want to check out the English National Surfing Championships in Newquay, Cornwall, watch the London Marathon on the streets of the capital, follow the Tour of Britain cycle race or enjoy the UK Athletics Indoor Championships in Birmingham.
Many of these events are fun-packed affairs, with plenty to entertain the whole family. We've also suggested a great place to stay while you enjoy the excitement!
FA Cup Final
Wembley Stadium, London
May or June
The men's FA Cup Final is the oldest football tournament in the world, and one of the most highly attended football events globally, too - more than 80,000 people went to Wembley Stadium for the 2022-23 match between Manchester City and Manchester United.
The Football Association (FA) was formed in 1863 to represent professional teams in England, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
The FA Cup Final promises an exciting experience between the best teams in the country, at the most iconic football stadium, with tickets sold mostly by the two competing teams directly to fans.
The women's FA Cup Final takes place at Wembley in May; the 2022-23 final drew more than 77,000 people, a world record for a women's domestic club match.
