FESTIVE FUN! - 12 STAYS OF CHRISTMAS

|January 2026
Ever thought about a Christmas caravan trip? But where should you go and what should you do? We pick out a festive dozen!
York Caravan Park, York
York is a fine place to visit at this time of year, with medieval streets such as The Shambles and the towering York Minster lending it a romantic Christmassy atmosphere. Nearby adults-only York Caravan Park sits on the outskirts of town within easy reach of the A64.
Onsite, you'll find spacious hardstanding pitches surrounded by hedging and a luxury, underfloor-heated facilities building. Touring pitches are placed around a fishing lake and a wooded picnic area. The park is well served by a local bus service (not operating on Christmas Day), so you can easily access York, two miles away, where the Christmas market is open from 13 November to 21 December. Several pubs and restaurants offer seasonal menus and the park recommends Sandburn Hall, Hopgrove Toby Carvery and The Judge's Lodging.
Pack your fairy lights as there is an onsite competition for the best decorated unit, and there will be a small gift for everyone staying at the park for Christmas Day.

Faskally Woods Holiday Park, Pitlochry
Scotland is a magical place during Christmas and New Year, and Faskally Woods sits in a beautiful part of the Perthshire Highlands between Killiecrankie and the picturesque Victorian town of Pitlochry. Onsite there is a bar and bistro, a swimming pool, a steam room and a hot tub (check site for opening hours), and you're in driving distance of Blair Castle and the Blair Athol Distillery. The Cairngorms National Park lies to the north, with skiing and other winter sports available at Aviemore.
