Doñana National Park:

Across Wetlands And Wildlife

In southern Spain, Doñana National Park is one of Europe's most important wetland ecosystems. Spread across the provinces of Huelva and Seville, it includes marshes, lagoons, pine forests, shifting sand dunes and more than 30 km of untouched beaches.

The park is best visited in spring (April to June), when migratory birds arrive and the wetlands are full of life. This is also one of the best times to spot flocks of pink flamingos feeding in the shallow marshes. With more than 300 bird species and rare animals such as the Iberian lynx, it's considered Europe's biodiversity hotspot. The easiest way to explore is through guided 4x4 safaris or organised park tours, which allow access to protected areas while minimising environmental impact.
