TAKE ADVANTAGE OF RAJASTHAN'S VIBRANT AND HAPPENING CITIES TO HOST PHOTOSHOOTS AND WEDDING EVENTS THAT WILL BE A FEAST FOR THE EYES

Magical Places To Take Your Pheras

Rajasthan, the land of maharajas and majestic forts, is one of the most sought-after wedding destinations in India.

With its regal palaces, heritage havelis, and breathtaking landscapes, the state offers a dreamlike setting for couples looking to tie the knot in royal splendour. Whether you prefer a grand palace affair, a lakeside celebration, or an intimate desert wedding, Rajasthan has something for everyone. Here are the top places in Rajasthan to get married.

JAIPUR
THE PINK CITY

The capital of Rajasthan has an abundance of places that are picture-perfect for a pre-wedding photoshoot as well as the actual event itself. Take, for instance, the Jawahar Circle, whose colourful arched gateways adorn many visitors’ Instagram feeds. Then there is the iconic Hawa Mahal, a historic structure whose honeycombed windows and intricate latticework are truly inimitable.

Plan your wedding attire in tones of cream and gold to complement the pink and rosy hues of this magnificent structure. The City Palace, conceived and built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur, is another top place for a wedding photoshoot. All of these stunning monuments are a stone’s throw from the Hotel Khasa Kothi, a former guesthouse converted into a swanky new hotel by the RTDC. The venue has lush green lawns, impeccable hospitality and opulent interiors fit for royalty.

THE SOLE MEMORY

I WAS LOOKING FOR A SHOE shop to get my favourite pair repaired. The August Texan heat had loosened the sole on one of them. In other times, I would have thrown the pair away rather than go through the trouble of finding a repair shop. But I loved these shoes and searched for someone to bring them back to life.

THE BORDERLESS GURU

THE AIR IS THIN, TINGED with the scent of juniper. A swift wind whips through faded prayer flags, while glaciers carve valleys and jagged peaks pierce a sky the colour of lapis lazuli. Standing here, the idea of political borders feels almost absurd. Maps may mark out India, Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibet, but the landscape itself refuses to be partitioned. These mountains carry a shared heritage, embodied by a single figure who transcends frontiers: Padmasambhava, the Lotus-Born. Known as Guru Rinpoche, the Precious Master, Padmasambhava brought Buddhism to Tibet in the eighth century. His image gazes out from gompas across the Himalayas-wrathful yet compassionate, eyes filled with the wisdom of lifetimes. To see him only as a missionary is to miss the larger truth.
