KIA SELTOS 2023 - BADASS SPORTS ADAS

With the new Seltos Facelift, also known as Seltos 2023, Kia has added some advanced technology including ADAS Level 2. T3 had a chance to drive the new Seltos from Nagpur to Pench Tiger Reserve and back, putting all these futuristic tech to test.

The Kia Seltos 2023 is available in three engine options. Apart from the existing Smartstream G1.5 naturally aspirated petrol engine with 6-speed manual and IVT transmission options and 1.5l CRDi diesel engine with 6-speed IMT and Torque Converter Automatic transmission options, Kia has introduced the Smartstream G1.5 Turbo GDi petrol engine with 6-speed IMT and 7-speed DCT options. The Turbo petrol engine produces 160 ps of power and 253 Nm torque. The new Seltos is available in three distinct designs – GT-Line, X-Line, and Tech-Line. We drove the GT-Line with the Turbo Petrol engine mated with a DCT transmission. A new Pewter Olive colour has been added to the options, while an Xclusive Matte Graphite finish is available exclusively for X-Line.

The Seltos features Kia’s signature Star Map LED lighting concept, which makes its appearance in the sweeping LED light guide and the LED DRLs. Other new lighting elements include Crown Jewel LED headlamps, ice cube LED fog lamps, and sequential LED turn indicators. Kia has redesigned the bumper, skid plate, and the Tiger Nose grille. Design variations appear across the three styles. The tailgate has been redesigned with a new Star Map LED connected taillamps. While the Tech-Line sports new 17-inch alloy wheels, the GT-Line features 18-inch Crystal Cut glossy black alloy wheels. Overall length of the vehicle has increased by 50mm.
