APPLE HAS LOST the latest round of the lawsuit brought by med tech firm Masimo, alleging that the Apple Watch blood oxygen feature infringes its patents.

A federal jury ruled that Apple must pay $634m in compensation.

Apple plans to appeal, saying the patent in question “expired in 2022, and is specific to historic patient monitoring technology from decades ago.”
