Earlier, the term “gamer” was associated with individuals hunched over their screens, eyes glazed with an eerie glow, and the unmistakable scent of stale pizza wafting through the air. Fast forward to today, and gamers have evolved into YouTube’s rockstars, with adoring fans, merch lines, and more drama than a daily soap.

If you think about it, this obsession is utterly absurd. While our ancestors once hunted wild beasts for survival, we, the modern youth, slay pixelated dragons with our trusty virtual swords. Why brave the harsh outdoors when you can witness epic quests from the comfort of your Snuggieclad living room?
