By installing AI-powered acoustic devices in forests, these systems detect chainsaw noises or other threats, alerting rangers to illegal activities. Such technologies democratize conservation, giving local protectors and global advocates the tools to respond to threats in real time, while reducing reliance on distant or underfunded government agencies.
