The biggest rumor that's going around the gaming world for a while includes the remake of Oblivion, the most successful title in The Elder Scrolls franchise.

Now that the gaming world is going through the trend of making remakes or remasters of iconic titles, it will be nice to get the most popular The Elder Scrolls game once again on new-gen consoles. However, fueling this speculation a bit further, the new reports say that the game has shifted to Unreal Engine 5.

While this promises great visuals, there are some threats as well that can ruin the entire experience on PC.

How the Rumor of Oblivion Remake Began? For gamers who are unaware of this entire scenario, here's a quick recap about how things started. Just like Skyrim and TES 4, Oblivion is the biggest title of The Elder Scrolls series. Therefore, gamers have been curious about a remake for a long time, but Bethesda Game Studios has been entirely silent about it throughout.

However, last year, a Microsoft document regarding Bethesda's unannounced work was leaked online and it had Oblivion on it, hinting that Bethesda has this game into consideration. At that point, nothing much was heard about the game or any remake in progression.

The burning rumors started to kick off as soon as Xbox Developer Direct2025 was announced with a surprise game to be unveiled. Xbox fans have assumed that it's going to be the Oblivion Remake.
