OLD Redcliffians produced a proud defensive effort to take a bonus-point win.
The hosts started the contest trying to move the ball in the howling wind.
The breakthrough came after ten minutes when Reds decided to keep it tighter and went through multiple phases before Ethan ‘Oggy’ Doyle powered over.
After persistent penalties against the Reds, Exeter were able to apply some pressure and eventually William Emerick went over in the corner.
Reds’ forward pressure was starting to tell when they introduced a new front row, leading to a penalty try after a dominating scrum.
Five minutes before the break, Sam Taylor went over after some relentless forward pressure, with Jack Gapper adding the extras to make it 18-5 at half-time.
