ANDY PEAKS knows Tamworth are on a National League helter skelter ride – but has seen the evidence they can hold their own in the top-flight.

Dan Creaney’s late strike at AFC Fylde on Tuesday night made it back-to-back games with stoppage-time winners and brought a third victory on the bounce.

Tom Tonks scored a bizarre howitzer against Braintree last week after they’d beaten Maidenhead United 3-1 the week before.

And boss Peaks – who has steered the Lambs’ rise from Step 3 to Step 1 with successive titles – is pleased his side are backing up what he’s always believed.

“Results speak louder than words,” Peaks told The NLP. “For me, the group is more than capable of holding their own in a lot of games and we’ve proved that. Of the games we’ve played, we’ve been in most right until the end, apart from the Barnet one [7-0 defeat].
