WEL CHRIS AGUTTER says Worthing’s opening day comeback can put to bed any play-off hangover fears – as the Rebels saw more of their young stars land big moves.
Agutter’s first league game in charge of the Wings got off to the worst possible start as Weston-super-Mare raced into the three-goal first half lead in their National League Sputh opener last Saturday.
But the former Hastings United chief showed just why he is so highly rated in the dugout by leading the recovery with two goals apiece from Jack Spong and Danny Cashman – including an 95th-minute winner – turning the game on its head.
Agutter believes the nature of the victory will aid his team for the rest of the season and give his players a platform to build off.
