HOW TO AVOID GOLF’S THREE THINKING SINS...

This trio of repeat offences represents a fast track to sabotaging your score. Avoid them at all costs
-
During my years working in the field of golf and golf performance, I've observed that in certain areas of the mind game, golfers are repeat offenders. I call these areas golf's 'thinking sins'. Here are three of the most common and most damaging; and if any of them sound painfully familiar to you, take action now! They will be costing you shots and making the game much harder than it needs to be.
1. IGNORING CURRENT FORM
Not long ago, I heard one of the world's best golfers talk about his game in terms of A, B, C and D.
His A game was obviously when everything was firing at 100%. He felt totally in control of his golf ball.
His B game was still good but not quite at his peak.
His C game was a bit of a struggle - a poor ball-striking day.
And his D game was when he was really unaware of his game -a very poor ball-striking day.
It was interesting to hear him say he had won tournaments with his C and his D game, but he said the key to those victories was making decisions based on the level of his current game.
