 1. Chile's first time
For the first time in 122 editions, the Track Worlds are taking place in Chile, at the Velódromo Peñalolén in Santiago. Located in the capital city's suburbs, the track was built for the 2014 South American Games, and only found out last April it would host this year's Worlds, after Argentina withdrew. In another historic turn, there will be Chilean riders competing in every event.
