UK's only senior pro team in total control at the Lincoln Grand Prix
-
Saint Piran sent an ominous warning to their domestic rivals after forcing the winning breakaway and riding clear to take a one-two-three at the Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix last weekend.
After 104 miles of frantic racing it was Alexandar Richardson who led the Saint Piran procession, claiming his second commemorative cobblestone in five years.
It was a proud moment for the 33-year-old, as team-mate Zeb Kyffin came second and Jack Rootkin-Gray completed the podium clean sweep.
"It was a really nice race and the important thing was that we did the process very well as a team," said Richardson. "I'm a huge advocate of carrying out the process and enjoying it. It was great to exercise that and the guys were phenomenal.
"We had guys in absolutely everything, we were on the front foot all day. Our team rode beautifully and to come away with the result is just the icing on the cake.
"What a feeling. It was a great result and it will be great to carry on that momentum. I wanted this one, I've got very fond memories of Lincoln and to win it twice means I can stop in a couple of years very satisfied."
