The Eighties special edition that’s been given a new lease of life
This Colnago Arabesque is a big bike – and it has a big place in Colnago’s history.
Before the storied Italian brand started its numerical system that celebrated the number of years since Ernesto Colnago founded it in 1954 – the C40 in 1994, for example – there were special bikes designed to commemorate the anniversary.
One of these legendary machines was the Arabesque, unveiled in the 30th year since Colnago’s father symbolically felled a mulberry tree on their land to make Ernesto his first workbench.
