The 2025 Asia Cup tournament is set to begin from September 9 onwards, with the final on September 28. The tournament in the United Arab Emirates will witness eight teams across two pools fight for glory. The two top sides from each pool will reach the Super 4, and then the best-placed sides will then make it to the final. Hosts UAE are in Pool A alongside newcomers Oman. India and Pakistan complete the group. Pool B sees Hong Kong in the mix alongside Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

OMAN

For the very first time, Oman will feature in the Asia Cup. The squad will be led by Jatinder Singh, the most experienced batsman in the lineup. He'll be supported by wicketkeeper-batsman Vinayak Shukla. All-rounders Aamir Kaleem and Muhammad Nadeem, alongside left-arm spinner Muhammad Imran, add further depth. Oman earned their ticket in the tournament by finishing as runners-up at the ACC Premier Cup 2024. Before that, they won the Asia T20 World Cup Qualifier 2023. In recent years, Oman featured in the 2016, 2021 and 2024 T20 World Cups.
