Having reached perihelion on 8 January, comet 24P/ Schaumasse is now fading. Starting the month at a small-telescope-friendly mag. +10.5, it dims throughout February to below 12th magnitude.

On the plus side, its monthly track is quite short - the comet travelling just 11.7° between 1 and 28 February - so if you can locate it in early February, familiarity with the field stars will mean it'll be fairly easy to keep track of.
