If you read last month’s thrilling column, I was about to nip upstairs and play the new game Split Fiction. I wasn't completely sure what to expect but what I'd seen made it look decent.

I was thrilled to discover it is absolutely outstanding and now easily in my top five all timers. Why so good? Some of the dialogue is a little hokey and the moral messages heavy handed, but I was able to see through that and realise I was playing something very funny, lovingly crafted and bloody brilliant.

Don't worry - no spoilers coming so read on safe in the knowledge that I won't tell you that the main protagonist Dwayne dies in the first minigame. Oops. Sorry about that.
