SOLID SNEAKING

There are a couple of ways you could go when making a game from a preposterous concept. You could really commit to it, finding the kind of game that results when you mash things together - and you take every element seriously. Or, well, you could turn it into one giant joke.

I would have said that the first approach obviously results in a better game, and is probably the way to go if you're more interested in game design. However, there's ample room in this world for big, stupid gags.
