SILKY SMOOTH

The first thing you need to know about in Silksong is Silk. You can accumulate this resource by whacking enemies with your needle, but it's vital for healing and using Silk Skills once you get some. It means that you need to stay relatively aggressive in combat.

POGO

One of the best attacks is the pogo. Anyone who played Hollow Knight knows that a midair downward attack that bounces you off an enemy (or a 'pogo') is the most vital skill in the game. It gives you aerial mobility and you'll have to use it in platforming puzzles as well.

MAPPING

Once you meet Shakra, you can buy a map for the first two regions and a compass, then every region below The Citadel after. If you don't find Shakra in each region, fear not; you can summon her on the upper right side of Bone Bottom to buy any missed maps.

ROSARIES

The only problem is that you'll need Rosaries to purchase items in Silksong. You can get these from humanoid bug enemies that you kill, but be careful when you die. If you don't smash your cocoon, and die again, you'll lose them all.
