Hello, and welcome to Valvidian, where you'll be starting your first day in a new role (brought to you by your friend Sam), and where you'll finally make use of your customer service degree! Now, as a remote worker, you won't have many perks, but you don't even have to leave your office.

Date Everything!

Publisher: Team17

Developer: Sassy Chap Games

Genre: Simulation

Release Date: Out Now

Platform: PC, PS5, Xbox X| S, Switch

Except... our Valvidian CEO, David Most, has unfortunately decided that all minor roles will be taken over by AI. Sorry about that, I know it's your second day on the job now, but... Welcome to limbo!

Sure, the situation sucks, but don't worry because this is not a remote working simulator! No, no, this is one of the most ambitious dating sims that I've ever seen, and one that I have been ridiculously excited for. Ladies, gentlemen, and those who don't see themselves as either, I welcome you to Date Everything!. For you see, you may not have a job anymore — technically, you're still in limbo and will still have access to your Valvidian workspace — but you have been mysteriously contacted by a fellow known only as Tinfoilhat, who has given you an important job: look after the Dateviators. Don't let them get in the hands of your boss (or ex-boss, rather), David Most.

imageBut what are Dateviators, you ask (and boy, am I glad you asked)? You see, using these handy Dateviators, you'll be able to transform different things into people. All you need to do is put them on with the top-face button, and/or your specific key on the keyboard, and hit the right trigger. This includes your Dateviators, by the way! Now, Skylar Specs is the name of your glasses, and she’s happy to help; she'll answer any questions you need answered, except, you know, very specific ones. She'll tell you all about the different Dateables, how you can end the game by just going out of your house, and whether you can find all the Collectables in one playthrough.

Dragonkin: The Banished

I decided to check out the Early Access of Dragonkin: The Banished, an isometric hack-and-slash action RPG developed by Eko Software and published by Nacon. I've always been interested in playing something like Diablo, but due to Activision-Blizzard's less-than-stellar track record over the years, I've avoided it like the plague until now. So, what did I experience in this little slice of dragon slaying?

Guards II: Chaos in Hell

Have you ever wanted a game that you could play in the background without requiring hours of your emotional time? I'm talking about a game that you can pick up after a long break and not have to spend half your playtime trying to figure out what happened the last time you played. Well, that's the kind of game Guards II: Chaos in Hell from developer Battlecruiser Games wants to be, so let's see if this is a journey into Hell that is worth taking, or if you’d be better served playing Minesweeper again.
