The game board features six rooms around the rotating, circular hallway that surrounds the inner séance room. The hitchhiking ghosts are always in one of the outer rooms. Each round, an event card is drawn which moves the hitchhiking ghosts around the board through several rooms. If a player is in one of those rooms, they draw a haunt card with a value of 1-3. If a player is in a room that the ghosts end their movement in, the player draws two haunt cards. Ghost cards are then added to the house face-up one for each player plus three starting in the room with the hitchhikers and placing two there, then placing one in each outer room and moving clockwise until all cards are placed.
