8 WAYS TO MAKE CASH WITH YOUR CAMERA

Cameras, lenses and other Cassociated photographic equipment can easily become a bit of a sinkhole for our finances - especially so at the moment, as we contend with a cost of living crisis.

So wouldn't it be good if you could find some ways to make your camera earn its keep? Some of us may already be doing a little bit of paid photography on the side, but if this is something that you'd like to develop more - perhaps even turning it into a full-time job - then you're in the right place. Over the next few pages, we've put together a selection of case studies that could help inspire you to tap into a useful photographic income stream...

1 MAKE CASH FROM... SELLING PRINTS

The Perimeter's author shares his advice for producing eye-watering prints

Quintin is an award-winning architectural and landscape photographer who originally trained as an architect. His interest in geometry and serenity informs all of his photographic work.

When he's not working on assignment for clients worldwide. Quintin creates photographic artworks in series based on long landscape walks and aspects of the built environment, which are available as signed prints. In 2015, Quintin embarked on a 10,000km walk, in sections, around the British coast. He called the project The Perimeter, and many of the images he captured are available as prints.

Quintin started making prints as an income stream seriously in 2007, after an exhibition called 'Pripyat 21 Years After Chernobyl', which was around the same time as the Greenland project mentioned above. Images from both those projects continue to be strong sellers for him.
