CREATING another pathway to nurture young and promising athletes for senior international play, Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham “Bambo” Tolentino announced yesterday the country’s hosting of the inaugural Southeast Asian Plus Youth Games from Dec. 2 to 14 next year.

“This is my gift to Philippine sports and our young, talented athletes,” Tolentino said during the media launch of the regional games in the company of Philippine Sports Commission chief Patrick “Pato” Gregorio at the PSC Media Center inside the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
