Unlike Christmas, people still in dark about Easter

Has the true meaning of this Christian holiday been lost in haze of chocolate?

Easter Sunday is almost upon us and somehow it feels like a surprise. It’s the same every year. Isn't it?
One week, it's just early spring — flowers barely in bloom, the morning air still sharp-and then suddenly it's Easter.
It's a Christian holiday, but, unlike Christmas, we commonly hear people ask, “Is it late this year?” or, “When is Easter, again?” And the truth is, most of us don't really know.
Christmas Day is static. December 25. It’s wrapped in lights and music, in stories we've heard since childhood.
Even those who don’t consider themselves religious can recite the nativity. There’s a collective awareness around it, a weight that gives it shape and meaning, even in the secular world.
