Pistachios thefts linked to Dubai Chocolate craze by store owner

A brazen thief twice cleaned out a health food store in Leeds of its entire stock of pistachio nuts - as the owner linked it to the Dubai chocolate trend.

Out Of This World in Central Road, Leeds city centre, has shared this image of a woman filling her handbag with the nuts before leaving abruptly.

Nearly £200 worth was stolen in total.

Damian Tapper, 44, who opened the store 21 years ago, said that he believes the nuts have been stolen with the intention of being resold due to the growing popularity for Dubai chocolate, which includes the nut and chopped filo pastry.
